Mongolian Report
In a land of nomads and city life there lies the country of Mongolia. This Asian country was founded in 1206. This country has a population of 2.839 million. Deserts and Mountains take up a lot of space in Mongolia so the population density is 5 people per square mile. Mongolia has an area of land of 604,200 square miles. This is just slightly smaller than the state of Alaska. This Asian country is full of many physical features and diverse climates. It is located in the north-eastern hemispheres. Mongolia has a variety of ways to separate itself from the surrounding countries.
Boundaries are what divides one civilization from another. It can be the separation of one culture to another culture that is extremely different. The political boundaries that Mongolia consists of are China and Russia. Mongolia's border with China takes up the south, east, and west of Mongolia. This extends for 4,677 kilometers. Mongolia’s border with Russia takes up the northern part of Mongolia. The amount of the boundary that Russia takes up of Mongolia is 2,202 miles . Physical boundaries play a big part in separating Mongolia from China and Russia. The altay mountains are one of the many physical boundaries. This is extending 1,200 miles in length and 14,783 feet in elevation. The Hentiyn mountains is the other major mountain separating Mongolia from Russia. The Gobi desert is located southern Mongolia and northern China. This massive desert covers 500,000 square miles. Uvs lake, 1,293 square miles , separates Mongolia from Russia. All these physical and political boundaries separate Mongolia from Russia and China.
Mongolia is located at 46° north and 105° east. To get to this country you have to be west of the pacific ocean , north of China, south of Russia, and East of Kazakhstan. The location is perfect for mountain climbing and walks through many national parks. Mongolia is between Russia and China and doesn’t touch any large bodies of water. This results in Mongolia being a landlocked country. The northern & eastern hemispheres is where this country located in.
Mongolia is a country filled with marvelous physical features of all different kinds. There are many mountains , deserts, and lakes. One of the many mountains in Mongolia is Altai Mountain, which is 14,783 feet. Another humongous mountain found in this mountainous country is the Khangai mountains. These mountains located in central Mongolia measure up to 12,811 feet. Besides mountains Mongolia is full of other landforms. The largest river that runs through Mongolia is the Selenge River. This beautiful river is 636 miles long. The Khentii Mountains include abundant forests and peaks rising up to 9,186 feet . A large desert region located in southern Mongolia is the Gobi Desert. This sandy area measures to 500,000 square miles and measures 17,008 tall. Mongolia is filled with all of these amazing physical features. Physical features can affect many things in this world including climate.
Climate affects a bundle of different conditions in a country. It affects the way you live, what you eat, and the overall culture. This country is a typical conditional climate. In Mongolia there are long bleak winters. Also there are short balmy summers in Mongolia. In these summer months some precipitation falls. Mongolia receives 257 cloudless days a year, and its located in the north hemisphere climate zone. Climates vary enormously according which season is in session. The climate for deserts in the summer , the Gobi Desert, gets up to 104° fahrenheit and fall to -40° fahrenheit in the winter. This frosty climate continues within the rest of mongolian winter days and nights. In the rest of Mongolia the average temperature in summer time is about 65° fahrenheit. Rainfall is a major role in Mongolia's climate. The average rainfall is 200-220 millimeters, or 7 to 9 inches, per year. Without these climates Mongolia wouldn’t be the country is today. Climate determines culture.
In conclusion , boundaries ,location ,physical features ,and climate all play a major part in Mongolia. Without boundaries there would be no separation between Mongolia from Russia or China. The location can determine mongolian culture. Physical features can act as boundaries and can be beautiful works of art to visit. Climate affects anything from the way you eat and what you’re people wear. All these factors make Mongolia the country it is today.
