In Mongolia , like the United States , there are different levels of education. The first step official step after preschool is primary school. The kids are allowed to enter at age 6 and a duration of 5 grades. Next comes secondary school. Secondary school is divided up into two different parts. The first part is for grades 6 - 9, called lower secondary. Upper secondary consists of grades 10-11. Both primary and secondary schools are both free. Primary and lower secondary are required by law. The three different stages of school have different lengths of school. Primary with 34 weeks, lower secondary with 35 weeks, and upper secondary with 36 weeks all beginning in September. Mongolia is predicting to move from a 11 year system to a 12 year system in 2016. With over 180 collages there is many places for Mongolians to pursue their education after secondary school.

Mongolian schools
After looking through the internet it was very hard to find the primary and secondary schools, therefor resulting in no school websites. They were either blocked or did not have a available website. A Mongolian Collage I found was the ' National University of Mongolia. Here is the official website for this collage. http://www.num.edu.mn/
